Spring Break Rocks!

Lovely weather lately. I have an exciting weekend coming up followed by a very relaxing week off. Obvious case of spring fever. Of course, this also means yard work and extra Honey-Dos are in store for me.

Our weekend:
Saturday night, Faith and I are going to the last show of one of our favorite local bands the Hopsing Project. Don't know why, but there seems to be no hope for the future of one of the regions greatest alternative bands. Members of the band have been either replaced or just weren't on stage, here lately.

Sunday is race day! The Williams boys are going to Atlanta Motor Speedway for some 200+ mile-an-hour, wrench-sqealin', rubber-burnin', sheet-metal-bendin', git'n-er-done. The Kobalt Tools 500.

Monday is Punkin' day... That means on Monday I'll be doin' whatever the Punkin' wants.
It would be foolish not to.

Forecast; grading papers, yard work, getting the washing machine fixed, etc.
Post a comment for details.

Everybody's good at something...

It is great to be able to get together with other musicians and just jam. That's what's up. Currently, I am not. My last stand with a band was a three show deal. I loved every moment of it. Even rehearsing was fun. I hope to remain available to them and anyone I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

In this post, I will not be able to cover my performance history because I have been very blessed to have traveled the world giving those who would listen a piece of my heart. You may think that, as a trumpet player, instrumental music is all I'm about. As my profile states, jazz is my bag, but when I can contribute a lick to any worthwhile group of voices or instruments, I am interested in what the mixture may yield. Every opportunity that I have had to perform has made me a better player and I thank you all.

Special Thanks; Dutch Boy Drum and Bugle Corps, Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, Milele Roots, Saturated Phat, Gene Norman and The Cleveland Grease-Pit Orchestra, DDS, The Violent Femmes, and many more extra special individuals.

There is much more to come. Stay tuned!

Let's go racin'!

The 2007 NASCAR season has been a nail-biter, so far. How about ol' Happy? He's the man! Darn that red flag in CA... He was movin' in fast. I really do hope Jr.'s luck changes soon. There's no time better for that to happen than in Vegas. The playing field has been leveled. Get it?

Enough with the puns... Atlanta's coming up and I've got a seat. I can't wait. I'll be initiating my dad, Rick, and two of my brothers, Tim and Andrew. It's the first track for these guys. I think I've got them pretty psyched, too. This will be my third spring race at AMS. Lovin' it!
